Meet the Team

Andrew Whalen – Committee Director

For more than a dozen years, Andrew Whalen has traveled across the country working on behalf of Democrats at the local, state, and federal level. Never shying away from a challenge, he has worked in and managed races in some of the toughest, reddest districts and states in the nation. Most recently, he managed the 2014 gubernatorial campaign in South Carolina and served as the national political director for the Blue Dog PAC in 2012.

Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, he is a die-hard (and frequently disappointed) fan of all Cleveland’s teams. Andrew is a graduate of Denison University, with a degree in history and proud to have been a member of SEIU as he worked his way through college.

Andrew oversees all the committee’s day-to-day activities.
